Situation in Gaza Worsens Each Day

Unfortunately, this is by no means the only report of the worsening situation in Gaza it is just one of many reports...

Oxfam Intl. issued a warning on November 20th stating that Israels' increasing restriction on water and sanitation services is putting public health at serious risk. According to Oxfams' calculations 225,000 people are not receiving adequate drinking water.

Oxfam Intl. Exec. Director Jeremy Hobbs has stated, "Access to clean water is a fundamental human right and must not be used as a tool to collectively punish the population of Gaza. Ordinary civilians in Gaza are being punished for crimes they have not committed, in clear violation of international humanitarian law. This illegal policy of collective punishment must stop at once.”

Oxfam has urged the government of Israel to immediately stop punishing the residents of the Gaza Strip. And asked that the international community speak out against "the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza and to hold responsible actors accountable for protection of civilians."
