RFID Chips: Coming to Your Body Soon?

www.the-fifth-hope.org/art/bb-poster-preview.jpg

I don't like the thought nor the idea of radio frequency identification devices (RFID) "chips", at least as far as implanting in my body or a body or any body's body, and when I talk about this subject with other people I get mixed reactions.

Some people really think they are cool, others laugh and say that tagging people "will never happen", still others get nervous and talk about the bible and the mark of the beast. Call me crazy but I'm more with the last group...

In 2004 the FDA approved the use of RFID in humans. These devices are now as small as a grain of sand and, supposedly, we can just about inhale one and not even worry about implantation.

Though these items were supposed to be foolproof two hackers proved that they can clone information from them and steal your identity.

Even though some 2000 people have volunteered to be implanted with one some people are implanting them in themselves!

Some are lauding them as a great alternative to traditional dog-tags, necklaces and bracelets for people with medical conditions such as Alzheimer's or heart conditions or for use in medical procedures. This may be so but I'm not sold...

Verichip, whose website banner reads "RFID for People", is one of the major manufacturers and distributors of these little demons from hell, and they are marketing them hot and heavy or, at least, trying to... This past summer Verichip was offering free RFID scanners to hospitals in an effort to gain more sales. Their biggest focus is Alzheimer's patients... at the moment...

Companies and corporations, and the military, like the idea of RFID's because it can eliminate and streamline badging and identification systems, payroll, human resources, and the other paperwork and "tracking" necessary for an employee. I understand what they are saying but it makes me feel like a Fedex package...

So far the states of California, Wisconsin and North Dakota have passed laws forbidding companies from forcing implants on their employees. That's only three states out of fifty... Colorado, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Florida are considering it but haven't done anything about it to date. Should we be concerned?

When I see the Visa commercial where all the people are queuing up to make purchases with their Visa card and someone decides to purchase with cash and disrupts the whole process I think of RFID chips. I think that commercials like Visa's are psychological "warfare" to prepare people for what's to come... I really do.

I believe that RFID tagging is on the horizon it's just a matter of when... Obviously some inconsistencies and bugs have to resolved before it's deployed but it is discussed too much by too many people in too many industries to be lightly dismissed away.

The Wall Street Journal looked into the subject in March 2007 and did this short video:

I'm wondering...

>Will RFID chips become all the rage and in fashion?
>Will there be color choices if they are on the outside of the body?
>Will there be manufacturer choices for implantation?
>Will people be allowed to make choices?
>Will people want to have tattoos done around their RFID chip(s)?
>Will people brag about being tagged or chipped? Will they pressure others to get this done?
>Will you be considered "uncool" or rejected if you don't get one?
>Will you be harassed more often than naught if you don't get tagged? Do you become a marked person by the authorities if you don't have one?
>Will there be RFID-qualified and trained psychologists and counselors and group therapy to help people cope with RFID implantation?
>Will there be designated areas in businesses for people that are RFID'd and those that aren't? Housing areas? Parking areas?

I'm not convinced and I don't think I ever will be. I hope I don't see the day that these things become reality as far as mass human implantation implementation goes. I will be fighting it vehemently and will go kicking and screaming...

I think it will eventually come to the point where if you don't have an RFID chip, you won't be able to get by in society. I think they are going to force these things upon us, no matter what public opinion shows and the very thought of that makes me sick!

I don't know what I'd do, but there's no way in hell I'm getting one of those things installed in me. I'll get by somehow...underground I guess!

I hear you, Skins, and I know you are right as the bible does say it will be so. But I don't think it's cool and when someone tells me that I cringe. I hope when it occurs that the underground network is built up enough that they have toilet paper and running water... :)
