New World Order Crackdown: New Zealand Arrests

History and background:
The Maori, an indigenous people to New Zealand, have been protesting and fighting for their culture and lands since being colonized by Great Britain in the early 1800's. The Treaty of Waitangi, entered into by Great Britain and the Maori tribal leaders in 1840, supposedly promised the Maori people retainment and ownership of their lands. This treaty has been a contention point with the Maori people and NZ ever since its signing...

Apparently, as seems to be the case with all dominant nations, GB and NZ have not necessarily abided by the terms of the agreement and the Maori have been protesting that the Treaty was not legally or rightfully agreed upon ever since. Many court battles have ensued and the Maori people continue to argue their points to this day.

The Maori people formed a coalition or activist group called the Tino Rangatiratanga, which has its own flag and credos. The group name loosely translated in English means 'self-determination', 'absolute sovereignty' or Maori independence. Tino Rangatiratanga has been actively vocalizing and expressing their dissent about the lack of recognition of the Treaty terms. One of their rallying cries, made by Rewi Maniapoto in 1864, is "Ka whawhai tonu matou ake ake ake" which translates to "We will fight on forever, ever and ever."

Current:
Under the current state of the New World Order and NZ's version of the U.S.'s Patriot Act - the Terrorism Suppression Act of 2002 - NZ decided that it will no longer tolerate the Tino Rangatiratanga and it rapidly executed enforcement of its' TSA on Monday morning, Oct. 15th, 2007 by arresting 17 individuals. It is reported that not all of the individuals arrested were TR members, some apparently were peace and environmental activists...

Since TR fights for "sovereignty" recognition in a country where rights of this nature are no longer recognized nor tolerated, TR is now classified as a bona fide "terrorist" activity. As we are all learning in the NWO, activist activity of any nature is no longer being tolerated, is in fact now classified as terrorist activity. All terrorist activity carries with it severe penalities to include long prison time.

In an article published in Stuff.co.nz it states:

The [Terrorism Suppression Act] makes it an offence to take part in, finance or recruit for a terrorist group, with a maximum prison term of 14 years. Harbouring or concealing a terrorist carries a maximum penalty of seven years' jail.

Though the act is heavily focused on stopping people in New Zealand from financing, being a member of or assisting international terrorist groups, it makes provision for dealing with unnamed local organisations.

In this respect, a home-grown terrorist group is likely to be caught by the definition of any organisation that carries out a terrorist act, which in turn is defined as anything to advance an ideological, political or religious cause with the intention to induce terror in a civilian population or force the government from acting in a certain way.

These broad definitions can be found within the U.S.'s Patriot Act itself. We are moving into a frightening new age where individuals and groups are no longer able to express themselves without fear of being labeled a "terrorist." To be an activist in any cause, whether it be for animal rights or human rights, leaves one open to being labeled "terrorist." Right now it's happening in New Zealand; where will it be next?
