I'm sick of hearing and reading that people in the Truth Movement are nothing but wackos or nutjobs... And from people that appear to refuse to even educate themselves on the subject. The way I see it when people make derogatory comments without educating themselves it's like shooting to kill in the dark when you don't even know who your enemy is. It smacks of ignorance, at the very least.
One fellow American wrote in a comment, "The organised hard core of the so-called truthers are associated with anti-immigrant, right wing extremist groups." I don't think he's American because he spelled "organized" with an "s" but that's a nit point. At any rate, I'm not hard core - at least not in the sense of what I think of as hard core. Nor am I associated with anti-immigrant, right-wing extremist groups. Why do people write this junk? What platform are they standing on that gives them the reassurance that what they are saying is fact? Does it make them feel important and BIG to write trash and untruths about people that they don't know?
Another fellow American stated that, "911 conspiracy nuts and their fake moon landing counterparts are just like evangelical christians. They NEED to believe. If the sad reality of their real lives ever sets in it is suicide time." Really...hmmm Well, first, I don't believe that the moon landing was fake and, second, is there a problem with believing in God? And, for your information, I live real life every flipping day and it doesn't make me want to commit suicide so why do you make such a stupid comment like that? Maybe YOU have suppressed feelings or issues YOU aren't dealing with but don't throw it my way! And, yes, I do believe that knowing the truth behind the events of 9/11, and other situations covered up by the White House, are important and should be known and shared. But does that make me a nut?
And yet another fellow American wrote, "You conspiracy nuts really do need meds." Like the kind of meds where they dope you all up and throw you in some institution? Those kind of meds?? Wow, that's pretty harsh. I don't think my children would like it if someone said that or actually did that to me. Do people realize what they are really writing when they put this crap out there? Do they really mean it? Do they think about what they are saying? If their mother was involved in the Truth Movement would they shoot her full of meds because she was involved? Would they look at their mother as just being some kind of nut and just institutionalize her? jeezzzz
Why aren't Bush and Cheney being called "nuts" when they constantly and consistently change their behavior and what they say and do? And they do this EVERY FREAKING DAY in the publics eye... To me that's pretty nutty! Why doesn't someone recommend that they be shot full of meds? Is it because people are afraid or they really don't see what is going on? Are they that blind to what is really happening?
Musing: I was blind a few months ago when someone told me some information about 9/11 that I didn't quite believe so I started doing research and checking into things... But I didn't accuse them or anyone else of being a nut if they took a different viewpoint! I'm not that low or ignorant to do such a thing. I'd rather check out information and ASK QUESTIONS and be ADULT about issues. Of course, I now KNOW that the information I was told was TRUE and, therefore, here I am...
Why is it that today we are considered nuts for pushing an idea forward? Sixty years ago racial segregation was a reality and there were some who wanted segregation to disappear. So they believed and pushed forward to erase those racial lines and now we don't have separate bathrooms or have to sit in special places on the bus anymore. Were there people back then that thought those people were nuts too? Or that they should have been medicated and institutionalized? Or that the people leading the movements should commit suicide?
Now you tell me who is irrational or a nut-job in these types of discussions... The people fighting to get their voices heard and the 9/11 investigation re-opened or the ones sitting in the dark shooting guns at unknown enemies? Hmmmm

Well put. I'm sick of being called a nut as well, it happens at least once a day and I always respond in a clear and rational manner, something a 'nut' isn't prone to do.
If you ask me, they are the ones who need to believe. They need to know that they are safe and secure and that the government is there to help and protect them, and anything that comes along and questions that security makes them afraid because it takes them out of their comfort zone.
There's nothing we can really do though, except trying to get our voices heard, not only about 9/11 but other issues as well that people need to be aware of before it's too late.
Good job Cabal, good job.
